Difference between ATI and nVidia video card drivers

I just spent 2 hours upgrading an existing driver pack along with the feature set for an ATI video card.  Now don't get me wrong, I like both card companies equally.  They both have great products.  It is just that when working off of the ATI web site, you have to dig around looking for things, then you have to go get this and that from Microsoft before you can install their updates.

NVIDIA is a whole different story.  They usually package everything in one install kit, maybe 2, and it does all of the work to finalize your update much quicker.  Both companies offer great feature sets on the video cards and I think they steal engineers between the two companies, however, it just seems to be a lot easier to find and upgrade the bug fixes and improved code with NVIDIA.

Here's to being up to date on drivers!!!
